The Big Fake Wedding - 2018

Updated: Dec 16, 2019

I was very excited to be invited back to the Big Fake Wedding. The event in 2016 served as our big debut and everyone was very encouraging and sweet. That was a happy surprise. From there we continued to meet vendors and planners and clients that all feel like great, old friends by now. This year the party was held at the Historic Rice Mill and theme was "Pretty in Palm Springs" so we worked up three designs that really stretched the color palette to give a totally different mood to each look.

Our first table took the "Pretty" part seriously. Soft pinks, glitzy golds, and shiny mirrors added the girlie look to this design. We chose succulents, cactus, and orchids to give the table roots in a desert atmosphere. Kayla Sue Letters used mixed metals for signage to add to the sparkle.

Our second look was a brooding beauty. We took to deep, dusty hues to create a lush, extravagant arrangement with lots of texture, color, and variety. Adorn Charleston finished off the look with gorgeous, velvet club chairs in a rich, navy blue.

Our last look was the Head Table for the bridal party. We went full Palm Springs for this design and utilized tropical blooms and large green foliage to create a lifted, horizontal display. Adorn Charleston accompanied this look with the most perfect rattan chairs and sweet signage was provided by The Salted Lantern.

The Big Fake Wedding is chock full of talented local vendors. Check out the Big fake Wedding Blog and the feature on Wedding Chicks to see more designs from the big day.
